La Rioja will have the first prototype of a space micro-launcher ready in 2014

JMP and GTD have presented NASP in La Rioja, a new company that takes as an object the investigation and the development of components, equipments and electronic systems of control for spaceships.

The new signature will create a prototype of space micro-launcher that foresees to be finished in 2014, year in which the first test flights will be done. NASP works design and construction of the components of Aldebaran's advanced electronics, name with the one that knows itself to the project that there have started the French Space Agency (CNES) and the Spanish institution CDTI. The aim is to commercialize between ten and twenty units. As indicates Eduardo Remírez, owner of JMP Engineers, the idea of creating this new company took place after several projects of collaboration with GTD. The businessman has indicated that NASP will be located in La Rioja because in this one Riojan territory " there is personnel qualified in electronic matter ".

The new signature will establish itself provisionally in the Fish-pond of Companies of the La Rioja Technology Centre for two or three years.

Later it will move to a new location still for determining. For this project, NASP will invest three million Euros and it foresees to contract to a minimum of 20 engineers of high qualification or doctors. On the other hand, the manufacture of components for the offer also will suppose the creation of new working places.

In NASP's presentation there have taken part Ángel Ramirez, person in charge of GTD, Eduardo Remírez, person in charge of JMP, and the prime minister of La Rioja, Pedro Sanz.
